about me
|
I'm an NIH MOSAIC K99/R00 postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Biology at Colorado State University. My current postdoctoral work in the Hoke lab integrates bioacoustics, neurophysiology, and molecular approaches to examine the mechanisms of auditory communication. I received my PhD in Neuroscience from the University of Texas at Austin working in the lab of Dr. Hans Hofmann.
Broadly speaking, I study how the nervous system generates behavior. I've worked on many species - from rats to fish to frogs to ctenophores - and value using a comparative and integrative approach to study fundamental questions about nervous system function. I'm particularly interested in the neural basis of sensory communication, its development and evolution. |
